We are excited to tell you that Saffire has reached yet another of the 50 states: our northern neighbor, Oklahoma!  The Rogers County Fair in Claremore, OK is the newest event to partner with Saffire Events, so let’s give them a big welcome.

This client is especially exciting for us because they first heard about what we were doing for the fair, festival and rodeo industries when they signed up for Fairs Everywhere!  Cool, right?

The Rogers County Fair will be taking their online presence from just a little information on the city’s website to an entire website dedicated to their event!  We’re so glad to be a part of this new endeavor and can’t wait to get started.

Last fall, we partnered with our friends at the International Association of Fairs & Expos (IAFE) to launch a new kind of event calendar called Fairs Everywhere.

It’s hard to believe 2012 is going by so fast and it’s already May.  Many of you are putting the finishing touches on this year’s event while others have already started working on 2013! While you’re in planning mode, we wanted to offer a quick video tutorial to remind you just how easy it is to update your event’s listing.

And remember, if you upload at least one photo we will feature your event on our homepage as your event approaches!  You can’t beat free advertising, right?

Last fall, Saffire Events and IAFE announced our partnership to sponsor a new kind of event calendar to promote the fair industry.  Our goal for Fairs Everywhere is to be a one-stop-shop for fairs, vendors, sponsors, volunteers and patrons to find out the very latest information they’re searching for about events in an interactive format.

I want to take a minute to encourage you to update your listing on our site, because customers are using this tool every single day!  In fact, sometimes people call our office to find out information about your events, and our first stop is your Fairs Everywhere listing!

So, what can you do to improve your listing?

1. Add a great photo!  As your event approaches, if you have added a photo to your listing, we will feature you on the homepage.
2. Keep your dates current.  Whether your 2012 event has passed or is right around the corner, making sure we have the most accurate information possible is the best way to give your potential customers information.
3. Provide an accurate description of your event.  Nobody knows your event like you do, so don’t be afraid to brag a little!  Talk about the pieces of your event that make it unique.

We officially launched the site yesterday at www.fairseverywhere.com, as well as the “Find Fairs Everywhere” tool on the IAFE website.

Our main goal is to enhance the online presence of the fair industry by introducing a user-friendly website that will allow the public to find information about fairs around the world in one place.

Better yet, all of the events on Fairs Everywhere can be filtered by region, date, “Our Picks” and “Fan Picks” so customers can quickly find what they are looking for.

Fairs Everywhere will also provide the name, description, date, time, cost, photos, social media outlets and website URL for each individual event.
